There are a variety of bolt types used as anchors for caving. These include mechanical bolts such as wedge, sleeve, nail-in and self-drive, as well as glue-ins. Permanent anchors in caves should always utilize hardware (bolts, washers, nuts, hangers) made from stainless steel so that they are corrosion resistant and can be trusted for multiple generations.
