Cavers frequently, though not always, carry a folding knife, which is a critical piece of gear for doing any rigging, but also handy for cutting cheese or sausage. The video below is a review of some popular options. There are hundreds or possibly thousands of commercially available knives out there, and many cavers have a favorite that they feel an emotional attachment to, but I’ve had to narrow the scope for this review so you’ll need to forgive me if your Spyderco, Gerber or Swiss-Army isn’t featured.
